Cookies and browser storage
Capifold currently uses local display preferences and sign-in without persisting session tokens in your browser. This notice explains what happens on your device.
Language and theme
After your explicit selection, the application saves the following values in localStorage on capifold.com. They contain no account or advertising identifier and have no automatic expiry.
- capifold.language: your selected language, en or de. Purpose: show the same language on a later visit.
- capifold.theme: your selected colour theme, light or dark. Purpose: show the same appearance on a later visit.
Why these preferences are saved
Storage and access serve the presentation you explicitly requested (section 25(2), point 2, TDDDG). Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is providing your selection. You can continue using the website without storage, but may need to choose your preferences again on a later visit.
Sign-in and passkeys
The application holds access and refresh tokens in memory only. It does not save them in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Reloading the page requires signing in again. This is separate from server-side session information held by Supabase.
Passkeys are managed by your device or passkey provider. The private key and any biometric data used to authorise access are not sent to Capifold. If needed, remove a passkey both in your account management and with your passkey provider.
Tracking and infrastructure
The Capifold web application currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies and includes no advertising pixels. Fonts and interface images are loaded through our website. Hosting and security functions may process technically necessary connection data; this notice does not guarantee that infrastructure providers never use their own cookies in a security scenario.
If optional services requiring consent are introduced, they must not be activated before the necessary consent is obtained. This notice does not authorise such a service in advance.
Removal and further information
You can change language and theme in the interface. To remove stored values, clear the site data for capifold.com in your browser settings. This resets local display preferences; it does not delete your server-side account or previously transmitted data.
